Is Your Honor on Netflix?

With Bryan Cranston’s jaw-dropping performance and a plot so well explored, Your Honor is probably one of the most gripping TV series on Showtime right now. The inner turmoil and parental concern have been portrayed very sensibly in this American TV series. But comparing it with Cranston’s magnum opus, Breaking Bad, might seem trite. The series also shows how a morally upright man eventually embraces a fallacious path only to exercise his excellent ‘dad-skills.’

What is Your Honor the Show About?

The plot of the series, originally taken from the Israeli series Kvodo, examines a father's dilemma and anxiety. The story opens with Adam Desiato (played by Hunter Doohan) terrified and chased by a gang. He collides with a motorcycle, and the rider is thrown into the air. Adam, a young man with moral values, starts to panic and calls 911. He is so terrified that he cannot utter even a single word. We can only hear the operator speaking on the other end of the line. The boy dies a gruesome death.

On the other hand, we have Adam’s father, Michael Desiato (played by Bryan Cranston), whose attempts to save his son upon learning the dead boy’s identity drive the plot. The boy killed by Adam, was the son of the local don, Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg). After knowing this and that Adam would be killed if he came clean, the truthful senior Desiato examines goes to every extent to save his son. He. even contacts a family friend to perish the car. Bryan Cranston’s character is seen to be frighteningly adept in evading the prosecution process.

Is the Show Your Honor Worth Watching?

With its elegant shooting and credible dialogues, the series explores a righteous man who follows unjust ways to elude the ultimate destiny. In the ten episodes of season 1 (the only released season), we observe the upholder of justice, Michael Desiato, understanding the precedence of his son’s life over the meaningless ideals that he has followed all his life. The intense performances by both the father and son have stolen thousands of spectators' hearts.
